What a seat opens
A seat is a set of feature keys the portal checks on every request. These are the names it checks.

Ask in assistant mode, get help on the page in front of you through the browser extension, and open any report shared with you.

Every price is one named person.
Seats are handed out in the portal and can be moved between people. What you pay for is the number of seats held, not the number of accounts that exist.
- Business Central extension
Connecting Business Central takes one extension.
It is what the assistant reads and writes through, and what pushes events out of your tenant as they happen. A company administrator installs it from the portal in a single step, or uploads the signed app in Extension Management when the admin center is not connected. The install can be scheduled, because a production environment is interrupted while it runs.
- Report authoring
An add-on, not a product of its own.
It requires a Controller seat for the same person. Release that Controller seat and the authoring seat goes with it, which is why the calculator above will not let you buy more of one than the other.
- AI usage
Every seat carries an included AI allowance.
Spending past the allowance is never automatic. A company administrator has to switch extra usage on (for the company, a role or one person) and can cap it. Until someone does, the allowance is the ceiling and the answer is simply that the month is spent.
- Trials
Each product carries its own trial.
The portal shows that product's trial terms before anything is committed, and a trial that is not converted ends by itself.
